Review of Assassin's Creed (2016) by Joe H — 16 Jan 2017
I find it odd that the critics gave the movie such a bad reviews, as the movie wasn't half bad. It has pretty much everything that I would expect of the movie. An interesting setting, character progression, ideas that are somewhat innovative if you never played the games.
I am not a great fan of the game or Ubisoft in general, but I did have some contact with them and I know what is going on more or less, but I think everything is described pretty clearly, so it's not "just for the fans" kind of movie at all.
Maybe it was rushed too much, maybe it should have been slower, instead of putting all of it into one short movie? But I do not see any flaws in it's format. Both main and secondary cast did a great job, as the subject was certainly not an easy one.
