Review of Assassin's Creed (2016) by Gustav A — 08 Jan 2017
After a friend told me he liked the movie, I had to go see it. I didn't have high hopes for this movie but I was willing to give it a chance. I can describe it in one word: boring. A lot of time is spent in the present and the characters there just keep on talking and it's not interesting.
You don't care about any of the characters because the movie doesn't take time to set up their personality, especially in the past. The action scenes are also really annoying to watch, with constant cuts and the shaking camera isn't helping either.
Some of the larger set pieces were pretty good like when he jumps of a builing and doing a leap of faith. Sadly this is interupted by going back to the present day. Overall a boring movie with annoying action scenes and not enough character and charm.
Some big free run scenes worked but this doesn't make up for an otherwise boring movie.
