Review of Assassin's Creed (2016) by David J — 06 Aug 2017
Despite a number of big names attached, AC hurts itself by trying to deliver video game fans too many easter eggs and fan service instead of focusing on its strengths: the freedom of any historical environment and the physics-bending parkour action that the franchise banks on.
Instead we're treated to too much backstory, and dead scene time where present-day characters interact, barely, and to little consequence for the overall plot.
