Assassins 'should' be a great film. It features Sylvester Stallone and Antonio Banderas as rival assassins with Julianne Moore caught in the cross fire. Richard Donner who directed the Lethal Weapon films, Superman and most of Superman II directed this action film. It also features a script written by Oscar winner Brian Helgeland and the Wachowski brothers (who would later go on to do The Matrix films). For some reason, it just wasn't that good. The action was rushed and despite all the great writers, the plot was kind of weak. Still, not the worst action movie ever. Antonio Banderas and Julianne Moore were pretty good in it also, which didn't hurt. Recommended.
