Review of Assassination of a High School President (2008) by Michael S — 25 Dec 2009
First off, no one is actually assinated, bit of a disappointment. Second off, Brick is a noir-film set in high school, this is a high-school movie with noir stopping by and saying hello. The distincation is very important for your enjoyment of the movie, and that's wher emy comparing of those two films ends.
Bruce Willis, as the principal is fantastic, and it's nice to see him on track again after being so boring earlier this year. Mischa Barton was looking lovelier than ever, and proved how good she can be.
The jokes were mostly pretty funny and the story moved nicely, with some excellent use of song. Also, there's this amazingly edited dance sequence during a party, truly impressive. The ending was good amd I didn't catch all of it, which is nice.
