Assassination Nation, a movie that's pretty hard hitting, violent and not that far off from the current state of our free land.

This is a modern retelling of the Salem Witch Trials but set in the digital age.

With all the technology af our disposal it's easy to take a picture or record what's going on in our lives.

But there are some who don't take the privacy seriously; secrets can ultimately destroy our lives but others as well.

The focus is on 18 year old Christy and her friends in high school, typical young adults living their lives but the danger starts when everyone's personal information and search history is hacked an put out in public.

As you'd imagine chaos and anarchy reign upon this town.

You can't not expect people to react so furiously and violently once they know these dirty details about people they know.

Individuals will be shunned, ridiculed, beaten, publicly humiliated and even killed.

We're told to be honest and truthful. Does anyone really want that?

So we lie to everyone because chances are they lie too.

The whole world is always watching and waiting for us to screw up.

Not everyone is flawless.

2 types of people exist: coming to terms with privacy and those whom are against it.

We don't know whose who or who can be swayed. Takes a tragedy to unite us.

The real sickness is hypocrisy and righteousness. If this world is screwed tear it down and fix it.

This film is pulse-pounding since it is a very grim look at our modern society of social media plus it hits pretty close to home given the nature of things that have gone down in our history.

It's like 'Mean Girls' meets the 'Purge' with everyone targeting someone.

For their own personal brand of justice.

Other than Joel McCale and Bella Thorne everyone else is unknown.

Still a suspenseful, scary, and almost-too-real portrayal of a nation losing its mind.
