Review of Aśoka (2001) by J D — 01 Feb 2008

My first foray into the world of Bollywood cinema. It took a little getting used to. A lot of flash cuts and close-ups so that the story a bit too fast, especially at the beginning. And then there are the musical numbers, which spring up unexpectedly throughout the movie.

But it's good music, all the leads are attractive, and it's an interesting story. If I can make it through nearly 3 hours of it, I guess I'm willing to give some more Bollywood films a shot.
