An intersting film. nicely shot and well acted. I haven't read the book so had nothing to compare it to which probably worked in my favour. lovely period design and tackles some issues around at that time which are also relevant today.
not entirely sure about casting farrell as an italian american but it still kinda works and Sallma Hayek is always watchable. worth sticking with and has a very touching conclusion.
