Review of Ask a Policeman (1939) by David G — 06 Aug 2009
I'd never seen any Will Hay before this and for the first half an hour or so it didn't achieve anything except leave me pining for Laurel & Hardy. As time went on though I started to get into the spirit of things and latch onto Hay and co's particular brand of humour.
In the end I found myself really enjoying the antics of Will Hay, Graham Moffatt and Moore Marriott's bumbling and incompetent but lovable coppers and I'm looking forward to seeing more soon.
