Review of As Good as It Gets (1997) by Cle S — 22 Jun 2014
This acting tour-de-force makes even the cliche and somewhat preachy script (albeit with rather poignant and ingenious dialogue at times) very sentimental, heartwarming and relatable. Though very dated at this point, as far as the media's evolution since '97 in its portrayal of homosexuality, Nicholson and Kinnear really bring it home and make it memorable.
