Nothing about this movie or its characters is endearing. Performances are sub-par: Nicholson simply played "Jack Nicholson" (I agree with the reviewer here that Robert Duvall should have won the Oscar for The Apostle).
Kinnear can't be believed as a gay guy with that stupid smirk on his face. The plot is contrived and unbelievable. I was actually "uncomfortable" watching this "comedy".
