The title doesn't lie, for romantic comedies, this pretty much is as good as it gets. The three leads completely carry the film with very unique styles and all three should have won Oscars instead of just two.
Of all the great performances Nicholson has done, this is my favorite and the way he delivers some of the most brutal one-liners ever written without batting an eye, is a blast to watch. Now if James L.
Brooks could just stop trying to make this film again, because he hasn't come close since.
