I came in with low expectations. As Above, so Below is a mix between The Blair Witch Project and Raiders of the Lost Ark. The characters are trapped in a maze dealing with the supernatural. Director Dowdle creates a indie/documentary style look, which pays off.
Regrettably, there is some over acting and a few story gaps. I loved the surprise ending. One understands the movie after watching the ending. 3 stars. I bet there will be a part 2.
