Review of As Above, So Below (2014) by Steve W — 17 Sep 2014
Despite this movie being shakycam, I quite enjoyed this roller coaster of a horror thriller. Scarlet Marlowe is a daredevil archaeologist who will stop at nothing to find the fabled treasure near the catacombs of Paris.
Using her friend and a documentary filmmakers, they team up with some Parisian spelunkers to find the treasure, but find themselves getting sucked into a supernatural hell. The movie has just enough character development to build up the dread, before tossing them into all sorts of messed up scenarios.
Despite some weird unexplained things, this movie is a decent horror flick and not much more.
