Review of Arthur Christmas (2011) by Paula L — 25 Dec 2012
Aardman and Sony animation studios has made one of the best christmas movies ever made. Its a heartfelt adventure that takes place on christmas eve when Santa forgets to deliver a present. His son Steve is too negative for anyone to deliver the present. But his other son, Arthur who has a phobia of everything is determined to deliver the present before sunrise with Grand Santa and a wrapping elf named Bryony. The best parts of Arthur Christmas are the parts you don't expect to happen. For example at the beggining of the film, The sliegh is not a sliegh, its a SPACESHIP! I admit I laughed so hard when I first saw that It was just to funny to believe. The film is very british with a humongous british cast with James McAvoy, Jim Broadbent and Hugh Laurie. All the performences are fantastic. The writing is genius. The animation is brilliant making it Aardman's first CGI movie ever. This is a movie to be cherished for many more years to come. Aardman's brilliant Arthur Christmas is amazing.
96/100 A.
