Review of Arthur Christmas (2011) by Ronald W — 26 Dec 2013
As good as its score is, I think it deserves so much more. I feel this way simply because I feel this movie truly defines the atmosphere of Christmas, with all its excitement and joy. It sets a standard for Christmas movies and draws a line separating Christmas from Commercialism and Corporations.
It explores the importance of each individual for Christmas instead of looking at them collectively. It does this by exploring different generations of Santa Clause wishing only to be seen as figure heads.
While Arthur understands that it's more than just a status of authority but being a role-model who cares. This adventure into Christmas, not only earns five-stars from me, but 2nd place for my favourite Christmas movie list (behind 'It's a Wonderful Life').
