I quite liked some bits of it but hated most of it. The original wasn't that good a film but Dudley Moore's charisma and lovable charm and screen presence carry the film. Add that to the soundtrack and era of film making and you have a fairly decent and entertaining film.
This remake has none of those qualities and sadly fails ultimately. There was no need for this remake and Russell Brand, although a self contained dynamo of oozing energy and flamboyance, can do little to raise this film above a rating of 'meh'.
Un-re-watchable.
