To be perfectly honest, I was completely prepared to to hate this movie without reservations. "Arthur" didn't disappoint - it is completely ridiculous, phony and unoriginal (well, that goes without a saying, after all it is a remake).
However... regardless of its silliness and redundancy, it is also rather charming in same moronic way that "Happy Gilmore" was. Brand is certainly a good fit for the main roll and together with Garner as unexpectedly funny evil bride-to-be he actually manages to make this movie almost watchable.
