Review of Arthur (2011) by Brent G — 12 Dec 2011
A pointless re-make of a old Dudley Moore movie that was funny for its time in the 80's about a spoilt brat boozing young adult who goes against his rich mother's will and falls in love with a common down to earth girl and risks loosing all his money if he doesnt marry the rich socialite his mother chooses for him in this pointless re hash of a movie the Dudley Moore part is played by Russel Brand who instead of being sweet and a bit odd balled like Moores Arthur is rude crude and crass and the blasphemies of Jesus Christ was totally unnecessary, Dame Helen Mirren as Hobson steals the show while Greta Gerwig fills the shoes of Lizza Minnelli who played the role of Naomi in the two Dudley Moore Arthur movies Arthur and Arthur 2 on the rocks.
