Review of Art School Confidential (2006) by Mike L — 27 Nov 2007
Good movie about what life is all about: i.e. interests, money, profit and supply and demand unfortunately. The message is if you cannot adjust yourself to the system, you will be crushed between its gears.
..It makes fun of fake artists very well. I never understood how a painting or an art object can become so precious several years after the death of the artist...Well, you pump the idea that its precious (i.
E. marketing) to create an artifical demand for the object, hence the increase in price...Good movie in overall but not that great...I would like it better if he succeeded while retaining his integrity, but I guess then the movie would turn into a fairy tale :).
