The social criticisms from enid and rebecca in ghost world were valuable but also reflected upon their own negativity and isolation. they were bigger losers than even the ones they incessantly maligned.
art school confidential features whole-scale misanthropy without turning the critical eye back on itself or at least its main character. what results is hollow.
