Review of Art School Confidential (2006) by Sabra E — 27 Dec 2010
Who the fuck cast this movie, blind uncle Jim?
First off, Jerome (Max Minghella) was so unlikable; I found myself saying: Ugh, please don't let him get the girl in this one, it'll be like Knocked Up, it'll be totally unrealistic! On top of that, he looked like a twelve-year-old compared to the rest of his classmates, who looked, on average, to be in their mid to late thirties.
All the art school kitschy, cliche crap aside, I can imagine that the script might've had promise; the plot was tragic, ironic, romantic. It's too bad because the final product DID NOT WORK. What a waste of Malkovich, of Huston; hopefully they were paid well and didn't put in much acting effort aside from showing up and being normal.
