How did this movie completely pass me by?!! Being such a fan of Zwigoff & Clowes, I should have been queueing to see this at the cinema! Alas, it didn't get shown at Birmingham cinemas... something to do with a poor distribution deal in the UK.
Anyway, it's brilliant. The film is about a talented young sketch artist who wants to become THE artist of his time. The school he attends is brilliant - the student body are pretentious charicatures of how you'd imagine art students to be (think of Roberta, the teacher in "Ghost World").
This film is darkly funny and too blatantly cynical to be tongue in cheek! I love it and will definitely buy for my collection.
