Review of Art School Confidential (2006) by Lisa A — 24 Aug 2009
I liked this so much more than the movie version of "Ghost World". While the art school cliches were slightly exaggerated, they were incredibly believable, as each one reminded me of people I know.
As some one else commented, it starts to deteriorate toward the end, but no more than practically all of Daniel Clowes stories which all go from humorous to tragic without warning. Max Minghella played a great naive New Yorker, even though he's British, and his character's reaction to the art world was so much like my own.
