Review of Art School Confidential (2006) by Tudor R — 11 Dec 2009
First half was great, both funny and observant. As the film progress it lost the humor and turned ludicrous, but it did retain its powers of observation. What does this film observe? That art is rarely a domain for the passionate, rather it is for the trendy and pretentious.
In this way the fill is an excellent attack on post modernism's influence upon art, but also its subordination before image. Too bad the film is only okay.
