Review of Arsenic and Old Lace (1944) by Rik B — 04 Apr 2009

I had memories of this being really funny, but on second viewing I noticed that Cary Grant is actually quite annoying in it. Grant himself regarded it his least favourite of all his own films. It does have plenty of humorous moments, as is to be expected with a Frank Capra comedy, but some of that humour, particularly that from Grant, is overplayed.
