Review of Arsenic and Old Lace (1944) by Irish E — 20 Jul 2010
A fast paced film that is a crazy screwball comedy that is fun to watch.
The casting is superb. I adore Josephine Hull and Jean Adair as the aunts, Abbey and Martha Brewster. They are the real stars of this film. The two actresses are totally convincing as the sweet little old ladies, who just happen to poison old lonely gentlemen as to put them out of their misery. They see what they do as charity work.
This film is funny and fun to watch. My only regret is not seeing it sooner.
