Review of Arrival (2016) by Cole W — 09 Jul 2017
Not one of the most amazing movies I've seen this decade, but definitely one of my favorites of the year. Arrival is a very unique sci-fi movie that is well-acted (especially Amy Adams'), well-directed, visually impressive, suspenseful, and pretty affecting.
It is a bit of a slow burn and it could be boring for some people, and the third act of the movie will make you think different about the first two, but if you're patient enough, I think you will be satisfied with the end result.
