Weird and complex, strangely engrossing, but not entertaining. A big problem was that you couldn't understand what they were saying half the time, but maybe that was a good thing. And, as for meaning, who knows? Certainly no 2001 or Close Encounters.
I suppose it had something to do with the meaning of life. Unfortunately, too much pat Hollywood story lines as well.
