It wasn't what I expected, but I didn't really know what to expect. I did like how they came to understand the aliens language.
Spoiler alert.
Giant Squids, seriously. They could come up with a better alien. They have an interesting concept of time. I wish they would expound on that a bit more. I probably would have been fine with just renting it first rather than buying the bluray.
