This movie was very disappointing, particularly after hearing all the hype surrounding it. The premise of the film was so complex that many people, including me, could not figure out what was going on and had to read an explanation online after seeing the movie.
The dialogue was often difficult to hear, with actors mumbling their lines. The colonel leading the military seemed to have a speech impediment. Amy Adams looked pensive most of the movie. The aliens who presumably were very advanced had space ships that looked primitive.
The military units were unimpressive and the idea that the Chinese would attack the aliens simply because they were on Chinese territory was stupid. All in all, a waste of time.
