Review of Arrival (2016) by Billy G — 31 May 2017
'Arrival' is one of the best sci-fi films I've ever seen involving aliens arriving on Earth. I think this is possibly the most realistic depiction (in film) of how the world might actually respond to aliens, should it ever occur.
The plot and timeline can get a little confusing, so I would definitely recommend a couple of viewings at least. Amy Adams does an impressive job portraying a woman who is awe-struck by the aliens and must go through the tedious process of trying to communicate with them.
'Arrival' is not an action-packed film. But I guarantee it is more thrilling to watch than most of the more shoot-em-up entries in the sci-fi genre.
