Review of Around the World in 80 Days (2004) by Josh B — 01 Nov 2013
Iâ??m fairly certain that Jules Verne never wrote a subplot that allows for three continents worth of kung-fu, but despite the considerable variation from the source novel (and the 1956 film version), this is still a fairly entertaining family film.
Steve Coogan (in what was supposed to be his American breakthrough role) and Jackie Chan are fine, and the various star cameos (a holdover from 1956) are mostly amusing, even if many of the â??starsâ?? arenâ??t exactly A-list.
