I never saw this at the time because frankly it looked dross and it was never gonna be as good as Willy Fogg.
So the last bank holiday came along an I figured, what the hell. If only for the Arnie cameo.
Despite my wanting to dislike it, this is pretty fun. it's never more than a hallmark production, though it really thinks it is, but on a bank holiday you're sort of prepared for this sort of thing.
Coogan is a pretty good lead. He'sothing spectacular but it's solid enogh. Chan is lots of fun and is given free reign for the most part to have lots and lots of fights. The girl is quite cute and likable too.
The main draw for this is the cameo's. Arnie being the biggest. This is so diffrent for him. (and depressingly his last movie) this scene alone put a huge smile on my face. Then there's own and luke wilson as the wright brothers. A Short, but sweet scene and alot of fun. There are a number of others as well. but these totally stuck out.
This movie is fun, i'd never buy it, but i'd probably get caught up in it again if it was on TV randomly. It has a lot of silly set up's and you soon zone out of the point of it all, but it's old school adventuring fun and a great weay to waste 2 hours.
