Review of Around the Bend (2004) by Chris S — 27 Nov 2010
A solid cast and a stylish execution carry a somehow too standard drama only that far. âAround the Bendâ? is about the relationships between three generations of men in one family. The film thankfully avoids indulgent sentimentality, but there isn't all that much to take its place either.
Nice to watch, but just so very safe and too familiar.
