The first was horror. The second horror/comedy. And now it's much straighter comedy, with some great sword-swinging action. Like the film before it, it recaps the original, then follows the twist ending of the second, and ends up in Medieval times.
Here Ash becomes the wise-cracking hero most see him as. One of the most quotable movies of all time, a fun ride.
