Sam Raimi is not a master of detail or having everything tight-knit and able to make sense, (like really, HOW many shots came out of that double barrel shotgun without him constantly stopping to reload???) but he definitely made a classic with Army of Darkness.
Bruce Campbell plays Ash in a way that he is the ONLY man on the planet that could do it. The movie is cool and stylish and fun. And it has so much coolness, style, and fun that it can survive exclusively on those factors to be great, which it is.
