Army of Darkness is an enjoyable tongue-in-cheek campy horror-comedy movie. The style of the film as well as the clash of two worlds between Ash and the medieval stage, sets a humorous tone. This is emphasized when all the characters take each scenario more seriously than the last, no matter how bizarre.

Using stop motion, as well as a variety of comedic tools (some working, some not so much), Army of Darkness is a brilliant, and better movie than its predecessors. Hail to the king baby.
