Review of Armored (2009) by Pam R — 04 Apr 2010
While this film wasn't a total disater, it lacked character development. This film had a great cast, but the film makers just didn't know what the hell to do with them. Now, this lack of character development would be okay had the film been full of amazing action scenes, but it really wasn't.
The action scenes were average at best and some of tight spots that Columbus Short's character got out of were a little too convenient to be believable. I just wanted to get a better feel for the characters and thier own stories, so I could be more attached to thier situation.
Unfortunately, Columbus Short's character was the only character that really told his story; I totally got his motivation, but I had no idea why the other characters were so driven to take such a risk.
Especially one character in particular who said God saved his life, yet he had no problem participating in a heist. I mean, I don't get that. Beacuse of this lack of development the film was rather flat, no depth and sadly the action didn't make up for it.
