Review of Armored (2009) by Christina Y — 24 May 2010
A pretty good movie, I must admit. You've already read the synopsis so I'll go straight to the point here. A group of colleagues workiing in an amored transport security company tried to coerce a newbie to join in the heist. The newbie initially relented (albeit reluctantly) due to intensed peer pressure. But midway during the daring heist, he changed his mind and thereby begins a suspenseful round of cat-and-mouse game/ good vs evil plot.
Kudos to Hungarian director, Nimrod Antal for a brilliant job at directing this ensemble cast movie. Matt Dillon, Laurence Fishburne, Jean Reno etc play the baddies (and ooh, they are bad, BAD boys!).
Columbus Short is good as the confused, naive yet courageous newbie. That guy who plays Peter in the TV series "Heroes" (Milo V.) also makes an appearance as the unfortunate cop. I cant remember Milo's surname but I know its a tongue-twister. Oops, sorry Milo!
Would I recommend you to watch this movie? Yes, definitely.
