Review of Armageddon (1998) by Mathlover9000 — 12 Feb 2018
I was expecting this movie to be just an average sci-fi movie. I was wrong. If anything, this movie was fantastic. The storytelling was amazing. This film is filled with many emotion-rich scenes. The main character, Harry, was great, interesting, and humorous.
Harry received a good amount of character development in this film. The side characters served as an amazing source of comic relief. The humor in this movie was golden. The acting was adequate at worst, great at best.
There was so much suspense in the movie. This movie was unpredictable and the protagonists took great losses and faced serious challenges to get their mission accomplished. The action and space scenes were fun to watch.
The only flaws with this movie was that the acting was a bit too cheesy at times and there needed to be more scenes with Harry's men being trained for space. Nevertheless, this film was excellent. This film is proof that Michael Bay can make a great movie, despite making terrible films such as Transformers Revenge of the Fallen and Dark of the Moon.
In conclusion, this film is severely underrated especially with the critics. This film was fun, action-packed, emotional, funny, suspenseful, and well-made. I give Armageddon a 9/10.
