While it may not bolster the best plot or acting skills, the laughs and action are persistent, and with decent turns from most of its stellar cast, Armageddon exceeds as a summer blockbuster. Strong, emotional, and entertaining, Armageddon should stand as Michael Bay's crowning achievement.
