Review of Armageddon (1996) by Austin C — 18 Mar 2015
I suppose it's just the nostalgic element of seeing this movie for the first time in nearly 5 years, but this film delivers many clichés that are surprisingly well executed and manages to give each individual character a loving uniqueness. From the oil rig, to the recruitment/schooling phase, all the way down to the bitter-sweet end.
Armageddon, unlike most disaster movies, make me care about every single one of the meteor's potential victims.
Don't even get me started about the soundtrack!
