Review of Arlington Road (1999) by Sanity Assassin ! — 14 Dec 2007
One of the most haunting and sinister thrillers of the 90's. such a good scripted, acely acted and well directed dark thriller. it makes you feel completely helpless. what would you do in that situation? would it actually be possible to come out on top against such organisation? jeff bridges plays a grief stricken husband who lost his wife thanks to the incompetence of the F.
B.I.. and also teaches a class on terrorism. when tim robins (complete psycho in this... should've won an award for his cool demeanor) moves in next door with his family bridges starts to notice things and the people surronding him see he's slowly losing is grip on reality, or is he? good going mr pellington! thought joan cusack played a real nasty and calm piece of work too.
nihilistic but great.
