Review of Arlington Road (1999) by Bryan W — 28 Dec 2008
An unfairly overlooked film, this has all the makings of movie that instantly wrests one's attention when skimming through channels. It has the distinct feeling of a latter day Hitchcock story treated in the stark, realistic production design of modern thrillers.
Rather than being labeled as the wrong man and having none of the answers, the paranoid protagonist is the only one capable of producing the leaps of logic to draw the sinister conclusions only to have no one believe him.
It's hard to imagine a film this stark being produced post 9/11.
