Review of Arlington Road (1999) by Rupert P — 21 Jun 2010
Jeff Bridges and Tim Robbins deliver a wonderfully executed performance in this thriller. The story is simple but very fresh in the making. A University Professor who teaches a American Terrorism course at GWU suspects his neighbor is an anarchist/terrorist and his paranoia is stemmed from the fact that his wife, an FBI Agent, died trying to stop terrorism.
Jeff Bridges portrays the role of Professor Faraday beautifully and like always he fails to disappoint, this is truly a difficult role to play and Bridges nailed it. Tim Robbins also played his role well as the suspected terrorist taking a fresh approach to the anti-hero role.
The plot was wonderful and the thrills had me on the edge of my seat and doesn't let go. Very underrated film that deserves to be recognized.
