Review of Arlington Road (1999) by Pascal V — 13 May 2012
Jeff Bridges plays Michael Faraday, a college professor whose wife was an FBI agent killed by right-wing extremists. After saving the life of a small child, Faraday meets and befriends the boy's parents (Tim Robbins and Joan Cusack).
However, he begins to suspect that these seemingly bland people are domestic terrorists for the radical right. Arlington Road is a well-executed suspense thriller that's boosted by good performances from its capable cast.
The mid-movie reveal is easy to see coming, but the story is rescued by its strong twist ending.
