Tightly directed, sometimes hilariously scripted and acted (thank you, Alan Arkin), and illuminates a moment in history I have not seen dramatized often or well. Still, convinced more than ever that "Lincoln" was the greater cinematic achievement.
Hollywood does like to congratulate itself.
