Review of Argo (2012) by Kyle C — 30 Jul 2014
This is probably the most tense movie I've seen in a long time. And there was only one loud gun shot in this movie. This is because this movie isn't about what's actually on the screen. It's the emotions behind it.
You feel scared for all of the people in this situation. Because one mistake and they're all dead. They make this very clear and that sticks with you for the rest of the movie.
This movie is also surprisingly very funny, especially when they were making the fake movie.
"If I'm going to make a fake movie, it's going to be a fake hit!".
It helps prove that laughter is the best medicine in stressful situations.
Argo is one of my favorite movies since it blends comedy and drama beautifully. With plenty of tense, exciting moments and some dark comedy, Argo is a film that really works.
