I have always had a very cynical attitude about Ben Affleck as a director. I hated "The Town" and it left a very bitter taste in my mouth. I was very reluctant to watch any more of his films.

I am glad I did. Argo is one of the best films of the year, and Affleck has proven himself capable. Both him and his film are certainly Oscar contenders this year.
